While we honor those that finished on the podium we acknowledge and congratulate ever sailor that competed. Everyone that competed is a true Hobie champion. While everyone would like to win, all those that competed have made friends for life. The Hobie family was extended even further at these worlds. We had many father-son and and father-daughter combinations. To see the next generation of young Hobie sailors come through and embrace the lifestyle shows what an exciting future the Hobie Class has.

Also during the Hobie Worlds the IHCA had their AGM. We are pleased to announce Hobie 14 and Hobie Wild Cat World Championships, Hobie Dragoon International Cup (which may change to a World Championships subject to World Sailing approval) and Hobie 16 Europeans in Zeilvereniging, Noordijk, Netherlands 2017. Dates to be announced soon.
