Saeman Bros. SUPn Across America: Outer Banks, NC and All the Way Home

Hey Guys,

After our stop over in Annapolis, MD we headed on down to visit our friend, Drew, in the Outer Banks. With a quick stop over with our friends at Freedom Surf in Virginia Beach to get some tips on where to go and what to do, we headed south to our final destination Duck, NC. Bryce and I spent over a week in N. Duck experiencing all that the Outer Banks had to offer. Drew was our tour guide and always had something fun planned depending on the weather that day. Making the call to travel down towards Hatteras Lighthouse, an hour and a half away, was always a gamble. We scored Frisco Pier and the beach breaks off Kitty Hawk making this SUP surf trip a success. When the waves were bad and the wind were onshore, Bryce and I would: fly our trainer kite on our SUP’s, fish striped bass (Rock Fish) off our SUP’s, or look for oysters along the edge of the reeds. When a storm would pass through, we would jump into his truck and drive three hours east to hunt his property for deer, quail, and ducks. We had an excellent stay while we were there, the Outer Banks definitely has plenty to offer for any adventure. From there we started our long drive home, with a stop over in SC to visit some friends and paddle a lake in the middle of a rain storm. Bryce and I had to drive all the way through home to catch a flight to Hawaii. We made a lot of friends and paddled some beautiful places along the way. The trip was a complete success!!! Thanks to Hobie for making this trip possible for us.
