Hobie team paddler Byron Kurt continued his winning streak, this time at the Coastal Urge Cold Stroke Classic in Wilmington, North Carolina. Byron's victory spearheaded an extremely successful showing by the Hobie Stand Up Paddle Team that ended up claiming two of the three top podium positions. In addition to Byron's win, Colin McPhillips placed third and Tommy Lloy convincingly took down the field in the recreational class. All Hobie paddlers were competing on custom 12'6 Hobie Elite Race Boards.
Hoble's premier paddler Chuck Patterson was also on hand to give a pre race clinic to up and coming paddle racers and also got the crown inspired with a pre are presentation and video
